Kensington Soccer Club’s U19 Women’s Team capped off a perfect season with a 10-1 win over Ragers FC to be crowned champions of the CASA Soccer League’s 8v8 Women’s and Non-Binary Division.

Following their defeat in the Kicking Out Transphobia Tournament Final, KSC had their eyes set on walking away with a trophy this season in league play. They’d been undefeated in each game of the season, scoring at least five or more goals in each game (the smallest result difference being three goals).

After their 8-0 win against Eclipse FC in the semi-final, the girls were high on confidence but coaches Jakeema Burton and Michael Kane made sure to remind them to rest up and remember that there was still one game left to play.

KSC began the final with a slow start, allowing Ragers to notch a goal within the first few minutes of the first half. However, the team quickly recovered and tied it up. What followed was an impressive display of teamwork and determination to win.

Though the team was not able to be presented with a trophy at the conclusion of the game, there are plans to present a trophy to the team in the coming weeks as recognition for their hard work and dedication throughout the summer.

We congratulate the ladies for their amazing victory and spectacular season!
