Carlos Acosta to Receive Mayor's Distinguished National Service Alumni Award

 

KENSINGTON, Pa. - Kensington Soccer Club Program Director Carlos Acosta has been chosen to receive the Mayor's Distinguished National Service Alumni Award at the Mayor’s Day of Service Recognition Awards, a ceremony that honors Philadelphians who've made a positive impact in their communities through national and volunteer service.

The award Acosta has received recognizes Philadelphia residents who are alumni of AmeriCorps, AmeriCorps Seniors, or Peace Corps. Nominees for this award have continued to exemplify service throughout their lives.

This year’s ceremony will take place on Tuesday, April 5 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The honorees will be invited to receive the award in person whereas friends and family can watch the event from home via live stream.
