KENSINGTON, Pa. — Kensington Soccer Club has been approved to receive a $3,000 Grow the Game Grant from Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer to help grow the game of soccer in Kensington.

“We’re working hard every day to expand opportunities for our players and coaches through soccer and it means a lot to have the support of Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer in making that happen.” KSC Executive Director Jim Hardy said.

Grant funds will be utilized by KSC to provide coach training to 12 participants and to purchase additional equipment associated with the Club’s expanded recreational program sites.

According to CEO Chris Branscome, the grant serves as proof that Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer makes it a goal to help impactful organizations such as Kensington Soccer Club make a difference in their communities in various capacities.

“We’re proud to support the continued good works of the Kensington Soccer Club and we’re pleased to see their efforts to grow the game,” Branscome said. “The investments we collectively make to provide more opportunities for kids to grow and learn are all well worth making.”
