KSC Coaches Cheer on The Men's Team at the Palangi League Cup Final
The Men’s Adult FIrst Team has a lot to celebrate. According to their beloved coach Jim Breslin, their most recent victories qualified them to compete in the Palangi League Cup Final. In regards to competition, this is the furthest the team has made it to date. In the weeks leading up to the victory, they beat 4 teams, knocking out two that had strong current and recent seasons. The team wasn’t celebrating solely because of their competition in the final; they were celebrating high school and college graduations, and their coaches were celebrating their progress as athletes. As the rain poured down in the Temple University Sports Complex, their current and former coaches - as well as parents, friends, and partners - reflected on their wonderful journeys.
The men’s team is comprised of a diverse group of athletes, hailing from different regions and professions. They come together weekly at practice , and daily they exchange advice, encouragement, and of course jokes in their team group chat. Amid the diversity in the group, are cohorts of people who are, and have been united through soccer. Some of the players have been playing with Kensington Soccer Club since they were young, and a handful have inspired the next generation as coaches.
