Kensington Soccer Club Participates in Well City Challenge

Maria Blaszczyk Deputy Director of Kensington Soccer Club is participating in the Well City Challenge. The challenge prioritizes the perspectives of the community in creating solutions to health disparities.

The Well City Challenge, led by the Economy League and Accelerate Health Equity, and powered by Independence Blue Cross, is an 18-month competition designed to seek community-driven solutions to address barriers to health equity and improve Philadelphia’s health outcomes.

Kensington Soccer Club was represented at the Kickoff Event at the Franklin Institute in January. Attendees were able to learn more about our organization and play soccer in one of the exhibition halls. We look forward to continuing to promote cardiovascular and mental health with our own programming, as well as this awesome collaboration.

With $100,000 in prizes, this is an excellent opportunity for people in our community to pilot their initiatives to improve health outcomes in Philadelphia. The categories include: This year’s categories are:
