Kensington Soccer Club aims to provide our community with a number of different programs that they can participate in. Through these programs, we can help others with their personal and professional development, knowing that the efforts will be reinvested back into the community.

Our programs provide a safe and affordable way to enjoy the sport of soccer. We offer recreational and competitive soccer programs for all ages and skill levels. Our enrichment initiatives provide opportunities for our athletes to read diverse books, learn leadership skills, and address social issues in our community.


 

We offer recreational and competitive soccer programs focused on learning soccer in a fun and safe environment. Navigate through our different programs to learn more and to register.

  • 10-week soccer development program geared towards players who are just beginners at soccer or playing the sport for recreation. The curriculum is delivered by qualified coaches with a specific focus on; soccer skills, positive social interactions, fun, fitness, and healthy lifestyles. Practice times will be Tuesday and/or Thursday, with optional skills clinics, and matches on Saturdays. Training locations are Casiano Field 2300 N Orianna St, Philadelphia, PA 19133. 4-14 years Old Boys And Girls Equipment exchanges (shin guards, cleats, or a ball) at our clubhouse location.   • Player Identification registration. If you are interested in participating with a KSC 2024/25 travel team please register here. There is no cost for completing this form. This form is for players new to KSC that are interested in playing on one of our competitive youth soccer teams. Register here

  • Our Teen Travel program provides opportunity for teens of all gender to participate in competitive soccer. Led by our Teen and Adult Program Director Jakeema Burton, this is a great continuation of our Youth Travel program, and a place for teens from our Educational, Leadership, and Workforce Development programs to expand their soccer skillset.   • The highest level of play within the club. For players aiming to compete with the best in the region and develop professionally. Players range from former and aspiring professionals to those seeking top regional play. Click here for more information

  • Our Adult Women’s Team was started by Teen & Adult Programs Director Jakeema Burton, our Intervention and Prevention Coordinator Brianna Banks, and Director of the Adult Men’s athletic program, Jim Breslin. Soccer is a vehicle for intervening in health and safety disparities faced by many of the children who participate in our programs. We have school and community partnerships that allow us to provide introductory soccer activities in schools and at community events. For the teens an younger adults in our programs, we also have leadership and workforce development programs to help them as they age through our programs.

  • Soccer Athletes Value Education (S.A.V.E.) is KSC’s literacy program.

    KSC is dedicated to encouraging all our athletes to achieve and excel academically as well as athletically.

  • Girls Empowerment Initiative (GEI) was founded by volunteers and staff to provide creative ways for young girls to enact change. Click here for more information


  • Our SummerJumpstart program provides professional training and opportunities for our youth ages 14+. Teens work in soccer and enrichment programs throughout the city with mentoring and support from Kensington Soccer Club staff. During Summer 2023, SummerJumpstart teens organized to create their own block party for the community.

  • Our Youth Leadership Council is at the heart of our empowerment mission. We encourage youth to make their voices heard at community meetings, through social media campaigns, and other public speaking opportunities. During the Summer 2023, Youth Leadership Council members participated in a panel on their experiences with gun violence, and participated in important conversation about these issues with stakeholders from throughout the city of Philadelphia.

  • KSC PREP is an after school program for high school students geared towards building skill and preparing our players for college. Our program is open to everyone, we have a girls cohort and a boys cohort. We provide quality soccer training, as well as enrichment activities to build leaders. At the end of our program we award a small scholarship for one of our seniors. Reserve your spot now!
