Kensington Soccer Club Overview

Kensington Soccer Club (KSC) mission is to unite the broader Kensington community with soccer and youth development programs for all, regardless of ability to pay. Our organization brings together youth from all backgrounds and incorporates academic enrichment, health and wellness education, mentorship, and violence prevention into all programming. 

Schedule

  • Overall Schedule: June 28th to August 12th.

  • Short preparation zoom meetings June 15th and 18th.

  • Full day professional development June 28th.

  • Full day preparation July 5th.

  • Camp runs Wednesday July 6, 2022 to Wednesday August 12, 2022

  • Programming runs Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm

Professional Development

Bus protocols and procedures, KSC Orientation/Onboarding, U.S Soccer Foundation Soccer Curriculum Training (optional), CPR/First Aid Training, Concussion Training, Mandated Reporting Training, and Summer Camp Planning

Compensation

$20 - $40 per hour (depending on qualifications)  

Requirements

  • Commercial Driver License 

  • Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations within the last 5 years

  • Covid-19 Vaccination card

  • 21 years or older

  • High School Diploma

  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with children

  • Ability to manage a group of 15 to 20 children 

  • Background Check: FBI Clearance and PA Child Abuse Clearance, State Background check

Logistic Support Responsibilities  

  • Serve as a positive role model for youth by building strong relationships with participants and demonstrating and promoting positive and professional communication, behavior, and engagement

  • Transport children and other passenger to and from multiple sites

  • Maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus 

  • Perform daily inspections before and after each route of the lights, brakes, alarms, seats, and fuel

  • Supervise and assist children as they cross the street and enter or exit the bus

  • Assists the program director in maintaining youth files including enrollment files, attendance files and youth surveys

  • Work under the general supervision of the program director with consultation from the Food and Nutrition Services Department

  • Monitor the safety and wellbeing of each child at all times through the practice if active supervision and constant engagement

  • Monitor campers behavior during meal services

  • Assists with the cleanliness of the school environment, assists with recycling, and assists with the flow of meal services.

  • Dismiss groups in an orderly manner at the scheduled time

  • Support daily program operations, as needed, which may include accompanying children on trips, distributing snacks, provide additional support for Camp Counselor or other related tasks
