KSC Community,

We’re happy to share some exciting updates as we continue to move forward positively with the Men’s Program.

In addition to hiring Justin Haskell as our Interim Head Coach for the First Men's Team, we've also solidified other key coaching roles within the program.

Please welcome Dan Branley, Technical Coach. Dan’s extensive experience and expertise will be a tremendous asset to the team. In addition, these coaches will continue leading their respective pods: Christian Parades, Elias Thomas, Erik Tylek, and Cherif Kamara. Finally, Noah Blodgett is returning to the coaching staff and the field with the First Team.

Our Executive Team is more engaged than ever, having secured a Community Expansion Grant to support the growth of this program. We’re also excited to announce the opening of our long-awaited store, which will feature uniforms, including the new city skyline kit. One of our teens here at KSC, Jason (Chelo) Murillo, created the design!

Here are a few additional updates:

  • Team names are being revamped to reflect our evolving vision.

  • Teams are officially registered for spring league play and will compete in their respective CASA divisions.

  • We’ve joined the new League for Clubs, a summer league designed to enhance competition and development.

  • We’ve established connections with multiple college coaches who are eager to engage with our players and support the program’s direction.

While change can sometimes be challenging, we are proud of our progress and excited about where we’re headed.

Upcoming Tryouts
Tryouts for the First Team will be held on January 25th and February 1st at Starfinder Foundation in Manayunk. For more information, please contact Justin Haskell at j.haskell@kensingtonsoccer.org.

Thank you for your continued support as we grow and strengthen the men’s program. Please see the additional information, team descriptions, and staff listings below.

Kensington Soccer Club Men’s Program Overview

Kensington Soccer Club provides a wide range of competitive and recreational soccer opportunities for men in Philadelphia. Our mission is to advance the community by offering high-quality soccer programming that is accessible to all. To achieve this, our competitive teams operate on a pay-what-you-can model.

What Does Pay-What-You-Can Mean?

While teams have real costs—league registration, field reservations, coaching, referees, equipment, insurance, and more—we strive to make soccer accessible to everyone:

  • Players who can pay contribute as they are able.

  • Players who cannot pay receive support to cover their fees through fundraising, donations, and partnerships.

  • Flexible payment options include discount codes:

    • KSCCares25%Off

    • KSCCares50%Off

    • KSCCares75%Off

    • KSCCares100%Off

  • Weekly payment plans are also available upon request.

We do ask players to purchase their uniforms as a commitment to the program. If this presents a challenge, please contact tim@kensingtonsoccer.org for assistance.
