With a mission of uniting the community with accessible and affordable soccer, this annual report focuses on how we emphasized unity in our community during the 2022 year. After over 2 years of social distancing, Kensington Soccer Club staff and supporters were motivated to instill unity amongst each other and through the expansion of our work in Kensington and greater Philadelphia. Our past reports (below) highlight the development of that progress, but 2022 was a year when that preparation was replaced with a stage of implementation. With new staff, new programs, new supporters this report highlights how we navigated these changes while remaining steadfast to our goals and our commitment to the youth who started with us over 10 years ago.

Many know us as Kensington Soccer Club or “KSC” but our official name Philadelphia Community Empowerment Through Sports (PCETS) reflects our larger goal to expand our work throughout the larger city of Philadelphia. To that end, our 2022 year is rife with examples of how we share the positive benefits of soccer with youth and adults across our greater region.

Our Adult Men’s Team was one of 107 Teams Approved for entry into the qualifying rounds for The Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. They proudly wore their new kits that displayed the logo of our new sponsor Techbuyer.
