Jakeema Burton is a visionary education professional who blends her passion for youth development, with her thoughtful approach to coaching. Jakeema has been at the center of the founding of a variety of our programs, events, and initiatives. This past year, the KSC Prep program matriculated over 20 teens from Kensington-area High Schools, and provided college scholarships to two participants. Beyond her planning and fundraising for enrichment programs, she also developed the Women’s soccer program to provide semi-professional opportunities for women to play competitively. Jakeema also lead our teen and young adult informal pick-up programs like Friday Night Lights, Walking Soccer and on a larger-scale, the first annual Kensington Community Cup. Jakeema is a delight to have on the team, especially considering how she literally started on our competitive teams. Her blend of administrative, and field-work means she is instrumental to a lot of the work we do to make soccer more accessible for all.

I love soccer, and I am passionate about serving teens in the same way Kensington Soccer Club was for me.
