Kensington Soccer Club is dedicated to uniting and advancing the broader Kensington community with high quality soccer and youth development programs for everyone, regardless of ability to pay.
Position Summary
Coordinate, support, and oversee our youth and adult programs in collaboration with our program directors in order to ensure quality, consistency, and cooperation across all programs. This position will oversee KSC programs including recreational and competitive soccer for all ages, after-school and in-school partnerships, summer camps, community engagement, youth leadership, workforce development, health and nutrition, education, girls empowerment, family engagement, and violence prevention. This position reports directly to the Executive Director and supervises the program directors.
Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate the planning process for every program in collaboration with the Program Directors, with the support of the Finance Director and Administrative Coordinator, and under the direction of the Executive Director.
Assist with the effective management, spending, and reporting of grant funded projects in conjunction with the Development Director and the Finance Director.
Manage the hiring of program directors along with the Executive Director and Deputy Director.
Train, evaluate, support, and supervise all the program directors.
Collaborate with program directors to ensure that all program staff are recruited, hired, trained, evaluated, supported, and supervised effectively.
Coordinate the design and implementation of program monitoring and evaluation tools.
Collaborate with the Communications Director and Development Director to ensure that programs, communications, and development are in alignment.
Work with program, administrative, and communications staff to ensure that communication with participants, families, and staff is consistent and professional.
Utilize and help improve our systems including project management systems, internal and external communication systems, participant and donor databases, filing and other systems.
Ensure that KSC’s mission and values are upheld in every aspect of our programs.
Be available on-call to advise program directors in case of emergencies.
Other responsibilities as needed.
Desired Skills And Abilities
Proven ability to effectively plan, manage, and oversee programs and systems.
Experience working in a collaborative leadership style and maintaining accountability.
Experience with program budgeting and grant funded projects.
Ability to work with a diversity of groups, audiences, individuals, and skill sets (e.g. program staff, parents, external stakeholders, public officials)
Ability to manage and support staff ranging from the most to the least experienced, including teen interns and volunteers.
Experience with hiring and training staff.
Self-starter, organized, flexible, detail-oriented, and personable with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Understand and apply computer technology to efficiently accomplish work including use of the following (and other similar) applications:
Excel
Trello project management software
Google Drive apps and Dropbox
Gmail and Google Calendar
Mailchimp and EZ Texting
Slack
Database systems
Able to operate independently, set goals and be disciplined in achieving them with minimal supervision.
Ability to interact with all levels of stakeholders: Board, directors, coaches, parents, students.
Track record of working with a diverse population, respecting and celebrating all members of our community.
Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
Fully vaccinated is a plus.

Schedule and Location
Most office work can be done from home on a flexible schedule, but at least two days a week should be spent in the KSC office to connect with other employees.
Office work and meetings should be balanced with time on-site at our various program locations to evaluate and support program staff. At least a quarter of your time should be spent at program sites during programming.
We have programs running afternoons, evenings, and weekends, and have staff on a wide range of schedules, so this position will require some ability to meet or talk during a range of times and days.
You will average two days off per week. During the school year, Saturdays are one of our busiest program days so your days off would be Sundays and one weekday of your choosing. During the summer, you would have off Saturdays and Sundays.
An average of at least 40 hours per week is expected. Some weeks may be more busy, but they can be followed by weeks with fewer hours to maintain balance. If you’re needed for a major program scheduled on your day off, you can replace it with a different day off during the week.
Position Classification
Full-time salaried exempt administrative employee.
Compensation:
$50,000 to $70,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
