I always say that ideas cannot come to life without the resources to do so. That’s why fundraising is so important to me. KSC has big dreams, and it needs the resources to make those dreams come true.
— Asia Whittenberger

Asia Whittenberger joined the administrative staff as a Development Assistant in Spring 2023, but she has been involved as a coach with Kensington Soccer Club through her time in college. Asia coached for the OST-Program and has supported our partnerships by providing coaching at community events. Asia herself has been playing soccer since the age of 4, with most of her time on the field serving as a goal-keeper.

In her role as Development Assistant, she is chiefly responsible for supporting with the preparation of grants and reporting. Asia has collaborated with Communications Coordinator Alberto Huichapa (VISTA: 2021-2022) on online fundraisers, and She brings a passion for fundraising, and the experience as an inspiring coach to raise awareness of the important work we do at Kensington Soccer Club.

Asia graduated from St. Joseph’s University in 2023 where she studied Sociology with a specialization in Development. While a student at St. Joseph’s University, in addition to being a student-athlete, she was a Resident Advisor. Prior to her roles at Kensington Soccer Club, she was an Americorps-VISTA Fellow in the non-profit sector. Motivated by the quote, “Proper preparation prevents piss-poor performance” she brings the discipline from the soccer field to the advancement of our goals and values.
